Day 1: Arrival in Moshi;

Your 6-day Rongai Route Kilimanjaro trek begins with your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to your hotel in Moshi, the starting point for your adventure. Spend the rest of the day relaxing, meeting with your guide, and preparing for your trek. Overnight stay in Moshi.

Day 2: Moshi to Rongai Gate, Trek to Simba Camp;

After breakfast, you'll embark on a scenic drive from Moshi to the Rongai Gate, the starting point of your trek. At the gate, you'll complete registration formalities and meet your trekking crew. The trek begins with a moderate hike through lush rainforest, filled with rich biodiversity. You'll spot various species of flora and fauna along the way. After approximately 3-4 hours of trekking, you'll reach Simba Camp (2,650 meters), where you'll have dinner and spend the night, surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature.

Day 3: Simba Camp to Second Cave;

Today's trek takes you further along the Rongai Route, ascending through the moorland zone. The trail gradually gains altitude as you leave the dense forest behind and enter into more open terrain. You'll pass through the eerie landscapes of the heath and moorland zones, characterized by sparse vegetation and unique geological formations. After about 4-5 hours of trekking, you'll arrive at Second Cave Camp (3,450 meters). Here, you'll enjoy dinner and spend the night, preparing for the challenges ahead.

Day 4: Second Cave to Kikelelwa Camp;

After breakfast, you'll continue your ascent towards Kikelelwa Camp (3,600 meters). Today's trek offers stunning views of Kilimanjaro's rugged terrain, with the iconic peaks of Mawenzi and Kibo looming in the distance. The trail winds its way through alpine desert landscapes, where you'll encounter unique flora adapted to the harsh mountain environment. Upon reaching Kikelelwa Camp, you'll have dinner and overnight stay, surrounded by breathtaking mountain vistas.

Day 5: Kikelelwa Camp to Mawenzi Tarn Camp;

Today's trek takes you to Mawenzi Tarn Camp (4,330 meters), nestled beneath the towering cliffs of Mawenzi Peak. The trail ascends steadily, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. As you gain altitude, you'll notice the air becoming thinner, and the temperature dropping. Upon reaching Mawenzi Tarn Camp, you'll have lunch and spend the afternoon resting and acclimatizing. Dinner and overnight stay at Mawenzi Tarn Camp.

Day 6: Mawenzi Tarn Camp to Uhuru Peak, Descend to Horombo Hut, Transfer to Moshi;

Today is summit day! You'll wake up before midnight to begin your ascent to Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters), the highest point in Africa. The trek to the summit is challenging, with steep and rocky terrain. As you climb higher, you'll witness a spectacular sunrise over the East African plains. After reaching Uhuru Peak, you'll celebrate your achievement and take in the breathtaking views from the summit. You'll then begin the descent back to Mawenzi Tarn Camp, where you'll have a short rest and lunch. From Mawenzi Tarn Camp, you'll continue descending to Horombo Hut (3,720 meters), where you'll have dinner and spend the night. Afterward, you'll be transferred back to Moshi for a well-deserved rest and celebration of your successful Kilimanjaro summit
